Job Description Solar Industry – Crew Leader Goldin Solar is Florida’s leading solar energy contractor. We are looking for an experienced lead solar electrician to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation knowledge of all current solar products (Tesla, Solaredge, Enphase)
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting experience
  • Educating the customer on their system (connection to monitoring platform)
  • Safely complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
  • Bending conduit
  • Diagnose and repair system components to resolve electrical issues
  • Install and configure monitoring systems
  • Experience with assembly of the racking and solar array
  • Work with a team to install, inspect and repair solar systems on residential/commercial properties
  • Properly sealing all roof penetrations in accordance with local safety regulations and to the specifications of the manufacturer
  • Work in attics and crawl spaces to connect the panels to the electric grid
  • Perform site survey (take measurements, photos and notes)
  • Coordinate with project coordinator and/or scheduling department, organize, and prepare job site for inspection
  • Must have, manage and operate essential hand tools and to perform your job
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety.
  • Ensure that the work is performed in a professional manner to conform to existing national and local building codes
  • Complete tasks safely, correctly and on schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor outage and performance alerts generated by customer solar monitoring for PV arrays, and battery backup systems. Responsible for initiating corrective actions where and when appropriate.
  • Perform initial remote troubleshooting and diagnostics with customers to attempt to identify causes of performance issues and gauge scope of work prior to dispatching field staff.
  • Manage the ticketing, staffing, scheduling, and dispatching of field service personnel to investigate and resolve solar PV and battery system service issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service work performed, findings, and results on a per-incident basis by project in Goldin Solar’s CRM software.
  • Determine warranty vs. chargeability of service work on a per-incident basis, as well as develop price quotes, estimates for chargeable work, and invoicing as required.
  • Oversee RMA handling, including detailed recordkeeping, inbound/outbound tracking of RMA equipment, and filing/invoicing for vendor reimbursements
  • Effectively manage the financial and operational performance of the service department effectively verbally and in writing with customers and team members to solve customer service issues

Qualifications:

  • MUST have experience with battery back-up
  • MUST have at least 4 years electrical experience or training
  • Roofing and/or construction experience
  • Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces
  • Must have basic tools required to perform job
  • Must have a valid driver license and reliable vehicle
  • Professional appearance and ability to interact with a team/customer keeping a positive attitude
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check, including drug/alcohol screen and clear DMV report
  • Must be willing to travel outside of your area from some projects

Pay Range:

  • $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
  • Fulltime M – F
