Appleton Finn are working closely with a leading utility-scale solar EPC company on the look out for an experienced Solar Superintendent to join their senior team.
Summary:
You will oversee superintendents, foremen and multiple site crews for utility-scale (PV/BESS) solar projects. Your primary responsibilities will include managing work sequencing, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the safe, timely completion of utility-scale solar projects. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with prior experience managing multiple crews across various sites. This role is on-site within California.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire solar project, ensuring it is completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and supervise on-site crews, including electricians, installers, and subcontractors.
- Enforce safety standards and protocols to protect workers and the site.
- Identify risks and uncertainties with project estimates.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals in response to client RFPs.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all phases are completed on time.
Qualifications Required for Interview:
- 6+ years relevant experience as a Site Superintendent for Utility-Scale Solar sites.
- 4+ years experience in utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
- Background in commercial construction, electrical equipment supply, and/or power plant engineering.
- Work experience in construction-related site management (Solar PV and BESS projects in particular) is necessary.
- A willingness to travel domestically within California up to 90%.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading on-site teams and managing multiple sites simultaneously.
Compensation:
Our client is offering a competitive salary ranging from $130,000-$160,000 + benefit package, including:
