Oversee the contract review and negotiation process with clients and other stakeholders to secure beneficial terms that align with the company’s goals while minimizing risks.
Draft, review, and revise various types of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, sales and purchase agreements, change orders, warranty claims, vendor and subcontractor agreements, and licensing contracts, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and legally sound.
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to industry standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
Manage contractual risks such as liabilities, indemnities, and intellectual property rights to safeguard the company’s interests.
Maintain an organized system for contract documentation, tracking key dates, deadlines, and deliverables, and provide timely updates to relevant parties.
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure efficient contract execution and resolve disputes effectively.
Resolve contract disputes and claims through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration, aiming for fair solutions that maintain business relationships.
Identify and implement improvements in contract management processes, policies, and procedures to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, finance, and operations, to coordinate contract-related activities and meet strategic business goals.
Assist the Sourcing and Procurement team in negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms as necessary.
Prepare and present regular reports and analyses on contract performance, including financial metrics, compliance status, and risk evaluations, to support decision-making and business planning.
Supervise administrative staff or others as needed to support administrative functions.
Perform any other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE:
7-10 years of experience managing negotiations and contracts for multi-million dollar projects ($50M – $100M) in construction, manufacturing, or procurement.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager, Certified Professional Contracts Manager) preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in managing construction and procurement contracts, ideally within the renewable energy or power sectors.
Deep knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and commercial terms and conditions.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical abilities to evaluate complex contractual issues, identify potential risks, and devise innovative solutions.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills, adept at handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
