⚡ Position Summary:
They are looking for an experienced leader to direct their Manufacturing/Process Technology team. In this role, you will drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, working closely with technical teams and senior management to set the strategic direction. Your role will be crucial in bringing innovative technologies to life in their next-generation battery production facilities worldwide.
⚡ Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership to establish the process technology roadmap for their future factories.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and scientists, providing guidance, overcoming challenges, and fostering growth.
- Ensure on-time delivery of innovations across key battery processing areas, including mixing, coating, and cell assembly.
- Spearhead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new talent to strengthen and diversify the team.
- Work closely with departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Development to address market demands and guide key engineering decisions.
- Partner with advanced materials and cell development teams to deepen the understanding of the relationship between process, cell, and material design.
⚡ Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, transparency, and a team-first approach.
- 13+ years of experience in process design and/or equipment engineering in the battery manufacturing sector or a related field (an advanced degree may substitute for some experience).
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, PFMEA, Lean tools, and safety protocols.
- Proven track record of driving improvements in process design, cost efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Experience in the development and commercialization of innovative energy storage technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Chemistry, Physics).
