- This role coordinates, counsels, and leads cost estimating efforts to ensure optimum costing and coordination of Steam Turbine Modernization projects to ensure Siemens Energy Steam Turbine Tendering meets customer expectations and requirements.
- Identify costs for everything defined in the scope of supply.
- Based on project scope, define the costs for the hardware/software projects, engineering, and project management hours to implement the project, manufacturing, transportation, etc
- Establish any boundaries for estimates or project cost requirements.
- Provide documentation for each cost element, indicating sources of data, assumptions used and any other methodology or analysis.
- Prepare and present costs to LSS upper management for approval.
- Ensure that all expected costs have been properly presented to customer for review/approval/acceptance of the estimate.
- Provide final cost estimate.
- Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.

The Team consists of COE and R&D functions, as well as tendering functions required to execute our large utility steam turbine projects. Projects range from R&D, major modernization/upgrades, to new unit. Steam Turbine Engineers are involved in all phases of our projects, beginning with proposals to customers, detailed design, hardware/software production, testing and ending with site installation and turnover to the customer.
