WasteXperts – an on-site waste and recycling facilitator – is looking for a Driver to join our San Francisco team!

San Francisco Driver drives company pick-up trucks and other non-CDL vehicles and equipment with a team of drivers, sorters, and assistants. We’re looking for candidates who take pride in hard work, being a team player, and making a difference in our community.

Waste Specialist Responsibilities:

– Safely operate a non-CDL company vehicle working together with a team of Assistants to complete tasks on a scheduled route.
– Report to shift and perform work daily with required personal protective equipment including but not limited to steel toe, puncture-resistant boots
– Safely utilize equipment and tools to complete work assignments (such as waste caddies, chute doors, tow hitches, compactors, ladders, etc.)
– Conduct weekly truck inspections and report any issues
– Service assigned properties on site by:

• Sorting trash, recycling, and compostable waste into appropriate containers
• Hauling bulky items off-site
• Manually compacting waste
• Sweeping/cleaning enclosures, trash rooms, and trash chute

– Manage daily route assignments by:

• Noting start and completion times
• Taking before/after photos of services performed
• Communicate with relevant departments to report/resolve issues and maintain a high quality of service
• Submit appropriate paperwork as required to communicate notes and maintain route assignment

Waste Specialist Shifts:

• Full Time, 5 days/week
• Flexible availability Sunday – Friday 4:00 AM start
• Overtime as required

Waste Specialist Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

• Valid drivers license and clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years or more than 2 minor violations including handheld device in the last 3 years)
• Must have Three or more consecutive years of driving in the USA.
• Frequently lift items weighing 80 lbs.
• Push/maneuver dumpsters and compactors weighing in excess of 500 lbs.
• Stepping in/out of waste containers safely with the use of a ladder as well as climbing several flights of stairs
• Work independently to complete daily assignments
• Work well with others in a team environment
• Strong time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
