Job Description:

Consulting firm that specializes in valuation analysis of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, fuel cell, renewable natural gas, energy storage system, etc.) for financial institutions and developers. The Senior Financial Analyst will gather essential project information, perform valuation analysis and write detailed reports to meet client expectations. The position a is a full-time remote work environment.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral member of a project team that includes engineers, economists, and financial analysts
  • The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of valuation reports for power generation assets and economic studies of power markets
  • Mentor and assist financial analysts with the development of cash flow models for power generation assets
  • Prepare written reports and presentation materials
  • Review junior financial analysts cash flow models and reports to ensure accuracy and work product quality
  • Perform company, industry, and market analysis
  • Respond to client questions regarding reports and industry research
  • Schedule and lead calls with clients regarding reports and valuation analysis
  • Contribute to idea generation and development of new research products/consulting services

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Mathematics or Business
  • 2-5 years experience with knowledge of renewable energy finance and/or electric power markets a strong plus
  • Demonstrate self-sufficiency with all relevant computer skills; exhibit proficiency with Excel and discounted cash flow models
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Have ability to tackle unstructured problems
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Be flexible with the ability to work well under pressure, meet client deadlines and balance multiple priorities
  • Have ability to work across disciplinary boundaries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
