DESCRIPTION

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a General Foreman to work in our Site Support department. Our team works a 4×10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities with every Friday off. All work will be performed onsite.

You will ensure maximum operation and service to tenants and programs, while supporting policies and goals of the Central Facilities Site Operations Maintenance and Support division. You will report directly to the manager of the Site Support department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the development and progression of the first line supervisors across multiple departments and varying personnel.
  • Collaborate with subordinate supervisors, functional peer groups, and upline management. Interaction requires interpreting and explaining information to audiences familiar with the subject.
  • Provide leadership and technical support of personnel who perform maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, and who may be geographically dispersed.
  • Ensure maintenance work is performed in such a way as to minimize downtime in a safe, cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure safety related programs are inherently imbedded into maintenance planning and work execution for areas such as fire protection, electrical safety /arc flash, confined space entry, and lock-out /tag-out programs, etc.
  • Work with outside suppliers, contractors, Division Directors, and all other levels in the organization.
  • Provide line management responsibilities to supervisors and leadership to all maintenance craft at Central Facilities.
  • May oversee the handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Develop and administer schedules, and performance standards for the organizational unit. Take actions to manage costs related to a section.
  • Receive assignments based on incremental goals and defined processes.
  • Provide recommendations for performance management.
QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

  • The target pay range for this position is $100,540 – $155,973 annually. The full pay range is $89,652 – $215,160. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
