Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensures the safe and timely delivery of material to and from the customer in Class A vehicle, to/from Franklin, Ohio, Muskegon, MI and Grand Rapids, MI.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Drivers are responsible for properly filling out time/load sheets, log book, vehicle condition reports, performing required pre-trip inspections, etc.
  • Deliver material as specified, maintaining good public relations with customer(s).
  • Maintains appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil. Hydraulic, coolant and fuel. Performs minor repairs to truck as needed.
  • Performs pre and post trip inspections to ensure safe operation of truck.
  • Ensures that safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Completes all paperwork that may be necessary; assist with plant work as required by plant management
  • This is a 90% dedicated route originating in Franklin, Ohio to Muskegon, Michigan and from Muskegon, Michigan to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ideal candidate would reside in Kalamazoo, Marshall or Coldwater, MI area(s), with space to park Class A vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent Choose an item.

Required Training/Certifications: Class A license In Ohio and Michigan.
Additional Requirements:
  • 1 year of commercial driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Excellent driving record
  • Must possess Class A driver license, and must be licensed in Ohio and have gravel train or end dump experience and licensing.
  • Ability to operate both a manual and automatic transmission
