Technical Support Engineer – Generator Components

How Youll Make an Impact

• You will provide CNC programs to manufacture parts for Generator Components.

• Your attention to quality and ability to drive process improvements will be an integral part of the success of Siemens Energy, worldwide and in Fort Payne, AL.

• You will challenge the status quo and look for new, innovative ways to manufacture our products.

• You will drive process improvements to support safety, quality, and drive on time delivery to our customers.

• You will provide Engineering support to both Insulation and Rotor manufacturing.

What You Bring

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience, combined with technical and on-the-job training.

• Experience in manufacturing environment required with hands-on experience building prototypes, fixtures, set up sheets and/or tools for CNC Machining.

• Experience in generating and maintaining program logs, CTQ documents, and manufacturing instructions for CNC machining.

• Experience in validating programs for efficiency and manufacturability.

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing Generator components made from a variety of materials.

• Proficient in understanding and writing G-Code.

• Candidates shall be knowledgeable in utilizing Mastercam software to develop CNC programs.

• Candidates shall be knowledgeable in 3D CAD software.

• Candidates shall demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Self-motivated with a drive to find the best manufacturing solutions for the business.

• Must demonstrate the willingness to work with team members to generate new ideas and be open to implementing continuous improvement processes.

Through our Generation division, we enhance and innovate conventional and renewable power supply. Currently, we’re reducing carbon emissions of existing assets and developing technologies that transform power generation applications.
