Head of Sales

Job Overview:

Join our team as the Head of Sales and lead our global sales efforts to drive growth across our product lines. We are a data and analytics company specializing in agriculture, providing actionable insights to optimize crop performance and reduce risk for our clients. As the Head of Sales, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company growth targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing international sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the agricultural and insurance sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on effective sales campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service and support.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Data Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior sales leadership roles with a proven track record of success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of agribusiness and insurance markets.
  • Proficiency in software data analytics as applied to agricultural practices.
  • Ability to sell complex solutions to large enterprises.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation:

  • Starting range of $185,000 annual base salary, plus uncapped commissions, bonuses, and equity
