Position Description

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Program Analyst for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) at the Department of Energy. EERE accelerates development and facilitates deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and market-based solutions that strengthen U.S. energy security, environmental quality, and economic vitality. The Program Analyst will provide a wide variety of operations support to the Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO).

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with BETO leadership to develop and/or execute program initiatives.
  • Ability to synthesize policy initiatives for senior leadership and stakeholders. Assist with planning and executing policy initiatives.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of BETO Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supporting the office Director with stakeholder engagement efforts: preparing briefing packets, attending meetings, note taking and distribution of key takeaways.
  • Facilitating corporate business management processes such as data calls and integrated reporting.
  • Clearly communicating with Talking Points, PowerPoint presentations and briefings or presentations, and via written reports (e.g., white papers, memoranda, information papers, emails, reports).
  • Assisting in budget scenario-planning and the maintenance of tracking tools
  • Reviewing existing operations and develop effective, up-to-date business processes that are relevant to budget, data, and information management
  • Planning and supporting Operations, Supervisor, Lab, and BETO-wide meetings. Tracking action items
  • Supporting BETO funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) including document development and revisions, process coordination, comment resolution, and leadership briefings
  • Coordinating quick-turn Information Management (IM) data call taskers
  • Serve as the SharePoint liaison for BETO by managing site permissions and technical issues within the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Tool

Requirements for Experience, Skills, Education and Credentials include:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Six (6) years of experience. Masters degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
  • Experience in the bioenergy or renewable energy sectors desirable.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with SharePoint.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communications. Specifically, answering customer questions, developing briefings and related materials, and writing guidance, information, and reports.
  • Experience in providing analytical and process support related to operations, data analysis, and other cross-functional business activities.
  • Ability to work on site at DOE HQ up to 3 days a week.
  • Professional attitude, teaming skills, and strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, and able to multitask with little to no supervision or prompting.
  • Ability to competently deal with frequently changing requirements
