As an AgIntel Segment Specialist with AdFarm you will assist the AdFarm AgIntel and Strategy departments to help uncover new research and insights within specialized areas of the North American agriculture sector with a focus in the United States and Canada. The research and content development that you will be doing is designed to support both agricultural clients and internal departments with new market intelligence and insights that help to guide strategic communications recommendations, communication channels as well as dive deeper into developing relevant farmer personas. This is a full time temporary position (covering a mat leave) running from mid-September 2024 to March 2025.

  • Support the AgIntel lead related to research reports and content development (both visual and written)
  • Source, analyze and summarize research using internal, external and web/digital resources to contribute ideas and insights to consulting projects
  • Coordinate and assist in building AgIntel presentations, Point of View (POV) documents to communicate insights to clients and internal audiences
  • Work with AgIntel Researcher to organize and build a repository of research sources and reports for use in the future
  • Perform administrative functions through direction of AgIntel Lead as needed.
  • Develop communication strategies and community support initiatives to grow our on-going Farm Voice initiative

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in economics, agricultural economics, ag business, ag journalism, agricultural sciences or a related discipline with an impressive transcript/grades
  • Familiarity with development economics and/or data science research preferred
  • Background, familiarity or relevant experience specializing or focused in animal agriculture, animal health and pharmaceuticals, beef production and/or dairy production.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Highly flexible and adaptable
  • Works well with others, especially with individuals across cultures and contexts
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and related platforms (such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides
