The Entry-Level Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role is essential for maintaining the company’s financial health and supporting overall operations.
A successful candidate must be able to:
Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain and update vendor files.
Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
Perform data entry to update and maintain accurate records in the financial database.
Generate reports from the financial database as required.
All other duties assigned.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
