Will be using different tools such as files, ultrasonic machines, and sandpaper. As well as patching cores using an alumina-based material according to work instructions.
- Ability to operate the mercury system to clock hours and pull up work instructions.
- Be able to meet daily targets provided by team leads.
- Understand how to operate downdraft booths to turn on lights and dust collection.
- Verify part numbers and serial numbers before starting work.
- Able to make blue dye and apply blue dye to inspect parts prior to working on core.
- Accurately use magnification tools to check for defects and to verify completion of work.
- Use diamond bit tools to remove Die lines/Parting lines on the trailing edge and leading edge of core.
- Use sandpaper to sand down Die lines on the main body of the core.
- Understand how to make the patch material and when the different consistencies are needed.
- Able to use pneumatic air tools to remove tie bars on core.
- Replenish stations with required items.
- Use hand tools, including wrenches and Allen wrenches.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Knowledge of or interest in industrial machinery.
- Able to perform basic math functions using metric system.
- Ability to read Engineering instructions.
- Demonstrated mechanical competence.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
- This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
