Job Summary:

The Lead Field Technician will play a crucial role in overseeing field operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining a high level of technical expertise in their department. While not directly managing a team, the Lead Field Technician will serve as the on-site supervisor, providing training, guidance and support to the Field Technicians and coordinating day-to-day work.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-site technical expert, responsible for installation, maintenance, and decommission of equipment and field assets.
  • Lead and oversee field work, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
  • Travel to job sites across the country to perform outdoor work in various environments.
  • Clean, maintain, and inventory company-owned equipment and tools.
  • Drive DOT certified trucks and trailers, adhering to all DOT regulations.
  • Coordinate the flow of field work, ensuring efficient and timely completion of projects.
  • Inspect and approve the work of Field Technicians, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Train new team members in the field on established SOPs and safety practices.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration within the team and with external partners, such as landowners, vendors and suppliers demonstrating a commitment to our core values of Respect, Agility, and Follow-Through.
  • Utilize power tools, equipment, and heavy machinery effectively and safely. Act professionally and responsibly in remote areas, on active construction sites, and in the office with minimal supervision.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of all Harness Energy safety standards and protocols with the ability to enforce compliance among team members.
  • Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and decommissioning equipment and field assets.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire a team and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability to work across several software and computer programs including, but not limited to: Slack, Box, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
  • Positive attitude and willing to collaborate with others exercising strong teamwork skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of Field Technician experience

  • Must be able to drive a DOT certified truck and comply with all DOT regulations
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to perform manual labor safely
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 12 hours a day

Compensation:

$23.00 – $26.00 per hour depending on experience.

Work Location:

  • Must be able to commute to offices in Niwot, CO or Longmont, CO
  • Travel across the country by car or plane is required for all work
