Job Description

The Permit Technician oversees the process of permitting with AHJs, cities and counties. Their duties include researching the process within new and expanding areas, applying for permits, communicating with project coordinators along the process and scheduling inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the prompt, accurate submission of required permits for solar installations
  • Maintain relationships with local jurisdictions
  • Track statuses of permit applications
  • Occasionally drive to sites and jurisdictions
  • Plan and schedule appointments and events
  • Answer inbound telephone calls
  • Develop and implement organized filing systems
  • Perform all other office tasks
  • Communicate with local power companies
  • Communicate with local jurisdictions regarding permits and inspections

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Takes Initiative
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Microsoft Office experience: Excel, Word, Adobe
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Tremendous work ethic
  • Solar experience ideal but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
