Expected salary range of $123,300 to $137,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for directing the Technicians and Lab Assistants in implementing surveying instrumentation, planning and scheduling, procedures, training, radiation exposure control, and rad waste programs in support of Operation and Maintenance activities at PowerLabs. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and state requirements. Interfaces with Radiation Protection peers throughout the Constellation fleet and the regulators on matters related to implementation of the Radiation Protection program within the Constellation fleet


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

.Oversee the Radiation Protection program at PowerLabs.

.Ensure the timely and complete reporting of all associated documentation for the program.

.Responsible for the daily supervision, monitoring, and coaching of direct reports to ensure productive work force in compliance with company policies and procedures.

.Responsible for the day-to-day management of the functional Radiation rotation program at PowerLabs to ensure that work is getting completed in a timely manner and that the nuclear worker&rsquos exposure is being maintained ALARA.

.Ensure effective communication of company programs, announcements, policies, etc. to assigned employees and feedback to the company from assigned employees.

.Accountable for managing the performance of PowerLabs in the areas of contaminated square footage and personnel contamination events.

Perform other Supervisory actions as directed by management as needed


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in radiation protection at a nuclear reactor facility
  • Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs
  • Must have demonstrated written and oral communicative skills
  • Basic computer skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful completion of the NRRPT certification
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in health physics or related discipline
