Job Description
Job Summary
Supervises union employees in the SCG Customer Charged Service Department in both office and field capacities. Oversees daily work in both utility and service operations, safety compliance, field inspections, and training functions. Ensures all mandatory compliance goals are met and interacts to resolve customer issues and concerns (external and internal) providing overall customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises to ensure safe and efficient operation of the daily field activities of Service Technicians.
  • Responds to gas leak emergencies providing oversight on policies and procedures outlined in SCG/CNG Service Policies and SCG O&M Policies
  • Supports and provides all required and necessary resources for Service Technicians to maintain first responder status and service contract obligations
  • Provides and ensures both HR and safety training goals are met with an emphasis on Operator Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 yrs of relevant experience or equivalent
  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Valid CT Drivers License
  • Knowledge of natural gas properties and distribution with technical applications to end user systems for heating
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 yrs experience
  • Valid State of Ct Trade License
  • Previous experience at a Supervisory level
