MAC Manager – CSE

KBR is looking for a CSE MAC Manager who will work under the Program Director to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard Instrumentation and Control Systems engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications within the overall MAC program for a Mega greenfield refining and petrochemical project.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Companys safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
  • Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain sustaining engineering plans
  • Drive multiple projects in various stages, from development to execution, with an eye for managing cost, scope, schedule, and internal reporting requirements
  • Use strong organizational savvy and relationship building skills to influence both internal and external resources, producing tangible results
  • Assures projects meet project objectives (including cost, schedule, and scope) by managing the development, design, and execution of assigned projects in accordance with specifications and standards
  • Ensures accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and reporting of assigned projects
  • Successfully communicates with leadership, engineers, designers, document control, procurement, project controls, and all other departments
  • Evaluation of MAC suppliers based on program guidelines.
  • Prepare accurate and complete evaluation reports and prepare professional presentations of the evaluations.
  • Meet directly with our International Client to present the MAC Evaluation Results.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and assist engineers and/or designers to ensure effective quality product.
  • Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques, and IMS and standards.
  • Investigate and resolve unusual design and field engineering problems by devising new approaches.
  • Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used.
  • Resolve project issues and problems.
  • Provide technical guidance to the design team.
  • Collaborate with design team to maximize design value.
  • Provide employee performance feedback to discipline manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • EDUCATION: 4-year Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering, Control System Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • 12+ years of industrial refining and/or petrochemical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in project leadership
  • Total Minimum 18 years of experience
  • Experience with electrical schematic drawings, logic diagrams, and panel schedules
  • Experience developing specifications and system design
  • Experience leading initiatives and managing suppliers
  • Experience with design and/or construction of plants desirable.
  • Demonstrated Experience in Process Control Systems and Network Architectures : DCS, PLC, SIS, BMS
  • Demonstrated Experience in Instrumentation
  • Demonstrated Experience in Telecommunications
  • Demonstrated Experience in Cyber Security
  • Desired Experience with Process Analyzers
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Ability to integrate new technologies into daily work processes.
  • Experience working across disciplines to achieve deliverables.
  • Strong Collaborator
