DESCRIPTION

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Facility Manager to work in our Facility Management department. Our team works an onsite position with 4×10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities Area with every Friday off.

You will be responsible for safe and efficient facility operations. You will report directly to the manager of the Facility Management Department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operate and maintain facilities and building systems within applicable facilities. Review lessons learned and ensure similar conditions have been identified and mitigated in their respective structures, systems, and components for assigned facilities.
  • Explain, promote, and implement building management policy, procedures, and methods related to building service and performance measures following the established Tenant Use Agreement (TUA) and requirements documents. Ensure that safety rules and requirements are maintained throughout the facility and that building specific procedures are current.
  • Communicate with facility operations, project integrator and project management, crafts, subcontractors, construction management, customers, and tenants to perform work in assigned buildings.
  • Identify potential improvements and efficiencies and implements changes, and work with management to develop goals and actions for continuous improvement.
  • Submit, review, screen and approve Maintenance Work Requests and Work Orders, approve and release work activities for facilities systems under their cognizance.
  • Work closely with impacted individuals, which may include complex engineer, project liaison, appropriate Project Manager, facility operations and maintenance managers and others to understand upcoming construction or project needs.
  • Work with appropriate staff/counterparts to ensure as-built drawings for their facilities are current and redlines have been incorporated. Ensure that all components identified in the drawings are installed and in working order and appropriate PMs have been written and are in the system for issue.
  • Observe work activities in their assigned space and act to correct any deficiencies observed.
  • Perform department and building liaison role for completed project acceptance and turnover. Ensure operational procedures and preventive maintenance justifications are prepared before project closure. Lead technical project planning and reviews. Monitor and report status of projects.
  • Participate in facility system assessments which include system health, short/long-term planning, and strategic investments.
  • Respond to tenant complaints and concerns and provide technical support regarding facility systems and structures. Periodically review compliance status with management.
QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or an advanced degree and 2 years of experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Level 4: Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience, or an advanced degree and 6 years of experience or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Candidate must have written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-year prior supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of methods, processes, and competency in areas of safety and environmental compliance including knowledge of associated federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Proven experience working and communicating with staff, engineers, management, and internal/external customers.
  • Experience with facility management processes and procedures.
  • Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (P6, Asset Suite, Maximo).
  • A working understanding of safety regulations and International Building Codes.
  • Certified as a Facility Management Professional (IFMA) or equivalent
  • Certified as a Sustainability Facility Professional (IFMA) or equivalent

Job Information:

  • The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($75,804 – $155,496) / Level 4 ($91,008 – $186,588). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
