We are seeking a Remote Solutions Specialist – Civil to join our Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate should have at least four years of practical civil engineering experience and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Professional registration (P.E., etc.) and industry accreditations (LEED AP) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Technical Support.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise pertaining to CAD, BIM, and GIS based workflows and technologies.
  • Exemplify exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of:
  • Application Functionality.
  • Workflows and Technical Overviews.
  • Non-traditional applications.
  • Discover and collect technical intel, acting in your client’s best interests in a consultative role while anticipating challenges and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Understand client needs, strategize, and identify opportunities for introducing Symetri and partner technology solutions along with consulting offerings which include:
  • Autodesk Products.
  • Third Party Partner Products
  • Symetri Technologies
  • Consulting Services
  • CIO Advisory Solutions
  • Application Development Solutions
  • Embody collaborative skills across business units, regions, and disciplines while implementing industry tools across multiple platforms.
  • Support the success of the Symetri sales team by providing technical presentations and recommending solutions.
  • Deliver pre-sales client demonstrations.
  • Maintain alignment of Symetri and Client business goals along with objectives throughout the longevity of the partnership.

Skills & Experience

  • 4 years of practical experience in Civil Engineering within the following areas:
  • Direct experience with the process, workflow , and use of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D , and related technologies from conceptual design thru construction of complex engineering projects
  • Knowledge of the implementation, use, and interoperability of GIS, particularly esri ArcGIS Pro
  • Knowledge of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD ) , Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and other modern contractual delivery systems
  • Proven successful implementations of BIM platform technologies within a Civil engineering firm or government entity
  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related industry.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design a plus.

The salary range is $85k- $105k.
