Senior Director of Solar Development

Position: Senior Director of Solar Project Development – Community Solar

Location: Remote, East and Midwest location preferred

Important Note: You must have recent experience in community solar renewables to be considered for this role.

Company Overview

The business is a fast-growing, PE backed IPP that owns and operates community solar assets in a number of states, with active developments across the US and counting.

The Role

Your primary goal is to lead the origination, development, and closeout of community solar projects across the East coast and Midwest (Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, etc.)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the U.S. community solar space (5 MW+), with a proven track record in securing Power Purchase Agreements, land, and developing projects through to COD, specifically across the eastern and Midwest US.

Developers will:

• Identify market opportunities and secure early land positions for community solar projects.
• Obtain necessary land use permits, interconnection and offtake agreements, and utility permission to operate.
• Implement a land acquisition strategy to efficiently secure site control in targeted markets.
