Energy Storage De-Risking Real Estate Manager – Houston, TX – Remote | WFH

We are seeking a Real Estate Manager to drive project de-risking and land administration. You will join our Energy Storage Project Development Team, collaborating with Department Leaders on strategic real estate initiatives across our nationwide portfolio.

Role Overview

As the Real Estate Development Manager, you will oversee land and title administration for our utility-scale renewables portfolio. This includes title and survey reviews, implementing software/tools, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Development Leadership and SMEs on titling/surveying real estate management initiatives for utility-scale renewable projects nationwide.
• Develop and implement streamlined site acquisitions, project de-risking, and due diligence processes to track real estate milestones.
• Manage land acquisition surveys and title review assessments across our portfolio.
• Collaborate with Legal and Accounting Departments to ensure agreement compliance and payment timelines.
• Provide strategic input to the Origination and Project Development Team on site identification and acquisition strategies.
• Foster relationships with landowners and community stakeholders to facilitate collaborative site negotiations and lease executions.
• Administer controlled sites, options, and land leases within the renewables project development portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and managing real estate land and title administration processes.
• Expertise in ALTA surveys, title reports, and mineral right evaluations.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS.
• Strong project management skills, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
• Experience with leases, purchase agreements, land permitting, and site control administration.
• Proven ability in drafting and reviewing real estate documents.
• Background in negotiating large commercial real estate transactions.
• Knowledge of utility-scale renewables (solar PV, energy storage, wind) development processes preferred.
