Position: Estimator

Supervisor: Chief Estimator

Classification: Full-time, salaried exempt (Professional Exemption)

Summary Description

Estimator with an intentional focus on maintaining Accubid item & assembly databases for utility scale solar & battery energy storage projects. Focus also includes maintaining close pulse on procurement & material price updates, regular system maintenance, & provide direct Accubid support to Estimating Team with project pursuits. This position reports to the Chief Estimator. This position reports to the Albuquerque, NM office but will maintain a remote or hybrid schedule. Working hours vary, as they tend to when geographic reach is coast to coast. This position is expected to travel up to 7% of the time.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities

• Estimating
• Electrical BoM Estimating
• Accubid Pro 16 maintenance & upkeep
• Accubid Database Manager 16 maintenance & upkeep
• Update custom assembly libraries
• Generate new custom assembly libraries for emerging technology
• Weekly reviews & updates on material & commodity pricing
• Monthly reviews & updates on regional labor, subcontractor & shipping fluctuations, & library compliance with Innovation & Standards department

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent command of Accubid Pro 16
• Excellent command of Accubid Database Manager 16
• Minimum of 3 years of cost analysis experience
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial or very large-scale commercial estimating experience
• Experience in the utility scale PV & BESS industry a plus
• Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, cost coding systems.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated history of success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
• Large-scale data-based decision-making oriented.

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

• This is a full-time position.
• You may be required the work weekends or after normal business hours from time to time.

Travel

• This position is expected to travel up to 7% of the time.
