As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dedicated Real Estate Manager to enhance their project de-risking and land administration efforts.

About The Role

As the Real Estate Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the de-risking and administration of land for energy storage projects. You’ll work closely with the Energy Storage Project Development Team and Department Leaders on strategic real estate initiatives, including land development sourcing, acquisition, due diligence, and execution across the nationwide portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Project Development Leadership Team and subject matter experts on real estate management initiatives for utility-scale renewable projects across various regions.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes for site acquisitions, project de-risking, and due diligence administration, ensuring critical real estate milestones are tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee land acquisition, survey, and title review assessments across the project portfolio.
  • Partner with the Legal and Accounting Departments to monitor agreement compliance and associated payment timelines.
  • Provide valuable input to the Origination and Project Development Team on site identification and land acquisition strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners and community stakeholders to facilitate site control negotiations and lease executions.
  • Manage and administer controlled sites, options, and land leases within the renewables project development portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing and managing real estate land and title administration processes.
  • Expertise in ALTA surveys, title reports, and mineral right evaluations as part of the de-risking process.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS.
  • Strong project management skills, with a focus on monitoring real estate project deadlines, obligations, and milestones.
  • Knowledge of leases, purchase options, land permitting, purchase agreements, and site control administration.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing real estate documents, including purchase/sale agreements, lease terms, and various agreements and easements.
  • Background in land negotiations and large commercial real estate transactions.
  • Familiarity with utility-scale renewables (solar PV, energy storage/battery storage, and wind) project lifecycle stages (interconnection, permitting, PPA negotiations, tax equity, preconstruction, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to engage in advanced discussions related to utility-scale renewables, transmission, and battery storage.
