Electrical Estimator (Battery Storage): Remote

The Electrical Estimator (Battery Storage) is a critical role responsible for developing, evaluating, and estimating the cost of various components of electrical systems and substations related to battery storage in both commercial and medium voltage applications. The Estimator will work closely with engineering, operations, and construction teams to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates for electrical components related to battery storage for medium-voltage and commercial applications.
• Analyze drawings, design documents, material takeoffs, vendor pricing, and other data to accurately determine project costs.
• Prepare change orders and track field and overhead costs.
• Monitor cost trends, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare materials lists for both new and existing systems.
• Provide technical advice and support to engineering and operations teams.
• Create and maintain cost and scheduling control systems.
• Ensure all project costs are accurate, timely, and in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating, purchasing, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of battery storage systems, medium voltage, and commercial applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
