We are a leading renewable energy venture with strong private equity backing, specializing in the development and execution of innovative utility-scale energy storage projects. With over 9GW of projects already underway and a fast-paced expansion in progress, we’re excited to add a new member to our team.

About The Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Real Estate Manager to support our project de-risking and land administration efforts. As part of our expanding Energy Storage Project Development Team, you’ll collaborate with department leaders on strategic real estate initiatives. Your role will encompass administration, land development sourcing, land acquisition, due diligence, and execution across our nationwide portfolio.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the real estate land and title administration aspects of our utility-scale renewables portfolio. You’ll be responsible for title and survey reviews, as well as implementing software and tools to ensure we meet our project development milestones.

We’re dedicated to building renewable infrastructure solutions for the grid and offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive base salary, open PTO policy, flexible work hours, health benefits, and the opportunity to work with a transparent Executive Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Project Development Leadership Team and subject matter experts to manage titling and surveying initiatives at both project and strategic levels for utility-scale renewable projects across the country.
  • Develop and implement a streamlined process for site acquisitions, project de-risking, and due diligence administration, tracking critical real estate milestones throughout project lifecycles.
  • Oversee land acquisition, survey, and title review assessments across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Accounting Departments to ensure compliance with agreements and monitor payment timelines.
  • Provide valuable input to the Origination and Project Development Team on site identification and land acquisition strategies.
  • Build and nurture relationships with landowners and community stakeholders to facilitate site control negotiations and lease executions.
  • Manage and administer controlled sites, options, and land leases across the renewables project development portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing and managing real estate land and title administration processes.
  • Expertise in ALTA surveys, title reports, and mineral right evaluations.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to monitor real estate project deadlines and milestones.
  • Expertise in leases, purchase options, land permitting, purchase agreements, and site control administration.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing real estate documents, including purchase/sales agreements, lease terms, and option agreements.
  • Background in land negotiations and closing large commercial real estate transactions.
  • Working knowledge of the utility-scale renewables industry (solar PV, energy storage/battery storage, wind) and its project lifecycle stages is preferred.
  • Ability to engage in advanced discussions within the utility-scale renewables, transmission, and battery storage sectors.
