Construction Management Representative

Location:Cape Lookout Located on Barrier Island (131 Charles Street, Harkers Island, NC)

Period of Performance: 375 calendar days

Salary Range:$90,000 to $110,000 annually based on experience

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction ManagementRepresentative for an exciting opportunity at Cape Lookout located on Barrier Island, Harkers Island, North Carolina. We are always looking for hard working professionals to join our diverse workforce and gain experience on a large variety of projects.

Project/Position Overview:

This Campground project will include construction of1) eight 8-bed cabins and eight 4-bed cabins, 2) a central shower house and pavilion with outdoor rinse stations, 3) a well, pump house, wind generator, and a solar battery house, 4) a visitor information and admin office, 5) an NPS operations area, 6) a camp road that includes a dump station, 7) a treatment facility

This role is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction
• Read, interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specifications
• Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site
• Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor
• Review contractor’s baseline and progress schedules
• Draft project related correspondence for NPS to review and issuance
• Understand and document inspections during and post construction as well as mock-up inspections
• Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with contract documents, applicable building codes and safety standards
• Deliver reports, reviews, evaluations, design work, etc. to CO
• Review and process Construction Contractor’s RFIs and assist in resolution, draft response, tracking, and follow up
• Evaluate payment requests and analyze Time Impact Analyses

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:

• Education leading to Construction Management Degree or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years Construction Management Experience
• Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safetytraining required
• Knowledge and experience with construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations
• Knowledge of cost estimatingwith breakdown of labor, materials and equipment costs for proposed construction contract modifications
• Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and other specifications
• Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of software including MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, ProjectTeam, Primavera, MS Project, and any other software programs typically utilized
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to walk and climb stairs or ladders on a daily basis to observe and inspect contract performance
