We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This role manages highly complex Electric Transmission projects with significant business and financial impact. Projects are large multiyear projects critical to the integration of the companies long term and short term offshore wind strategy. This role will manages total project scope from conception to completion. Responsible for management of complex scope and cost development/validation, complex permitting and ROW, negotiation for re-determination activities and new contract acquisitions. Communicates with internal and external customers to obtain requirements and expectations for project to include Renewable energy developers, PJM and other major Electric Energy companies. Directs scoping teams to determine cost effective, efficient solutions to customer needs. Develops project work plans including schedules, budgets, work sequences, etc. Approves project expenditures. Ensures coordination between project functional groups. Ensures proper project documentation/reporting. Provides customer and senior leadership with continuous, accurate information concerning the project. Initiates or reviews project correspondence/bids/quotes with outside companies/contractors. Performs financial analysis to determine cost effective solutions. This level is typically restricted based on business requirements.

This position will concentrate on assisting Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project.

Relocation assistance may be offered.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 8-10+ years directly related experience in project management and relevant technologies in the assigned project area.
  • Expert knowledge and job specific applications of project management such as substation engineering and construction techniques, transmission line engineering, contract administration, materials management, utility accounting and SCC procedures.
  • Skills: strong verbal and written communication; presentation/public speaking; excellent negotiating; budgeting; scheduling; discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Abilities: logical reasoning; conduct effective meetings; work with all levels of individuals; team facilitation; manage multiple priorities.

Education Requirements

Preferred

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines: Engineering

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Preferred: Project Management Pro. (PMP)
