The programme

The programme lasts for 2-years and includes rotations of 3-12 months across functions, business areas.

The position

By joining our team in Renewables Americas, Operation and maintenance you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Vice President of Operations and his team to stand up Equinor’s and New York City’s first offshore wind turbine staging area and operations base in historic South Brooklyn Marine Terminal.

In addition to carrying out operational tasks and leading special projects, you will be an active participant in strategy and planning meetings; collaborate with our technical, commercial, and operations teams to ensure support and alignment on objectives; learn how commercial aspects of electrical generation could be managed and optimized from a business development lens; support the creation of training or apprenticeship programs for O&M staff, including wind technicians; and develop working knowledge of US regulatory and reliability compliance and monitoring to contribute to establishing standards, procedures, and other preventive measures to safeguard our renewable energy generation assets and control center.

For This Position We Are Looking For Those With

• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PhD with good academic record within the technical fields of Engineering, Project Management, or Operations Management.
• Completed degree within year of starting (2025)
• Fluent in English
• No more than two years of relevant fulltime work experience
• Formal experience is not a requirement  
• Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
