With the use and commercialization of laser-induced inertial fusion, a clean and highly efficient power generation technology is coming within reach, suitable to ensure a secure and scalable future energy supply.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations Lead to join our team. You will work closely with the leadership team to build and maintain strategic relationships with government entities, advancing our business development goals and enhancing our presence in the industry.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy and roadmap for the organization, aligning with broader organizational goals
• Establish and manage robust relationships with government officials, agencies, and key stakeholders to create new business opportunities and support organizational growth
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, leveraging this insight to shape our approach and offerings
• Represent the company in meetings, forums, and events to advocate for our interests and establish a positive presence within the government and community
• Develop and execute public policy, legislative, and political strategies
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and proposals to government officials and partners, effectively conveying our mission, vision, and value propositions
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and coordination in government relations efforts
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the organization, providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership
• Ensure all interactions and engagements with government entities are conducted ethically and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Who You Are

• Experienced in government relations, public affairs, or a related field, with a focus on business development and relationship building
• Skilled in building rapport and influencing at all levels of government and across diverse stakeholder groups
• Knowledgeable in government structures, processes, and decision-making, with experience navigating complex regulatory environments
• A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans that align with organizational goals and drive measurable results
• An effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills, capable of engaging with internal and external audiences
• A problem solver with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and develop innovative solutions
• A team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Committed to high ethical standards and conducting business with integrity and transparency
