Job Description

The solar energy industry is growing, and so is our team. We’re looking for an ambitious journeyman electrician to install solar photovoltaic systems in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin on a full-time (not contract) basis.

At Wolf Track Energy, our mission is to help our customers reduce their power bills and carbon footprint while achieving energy independence. We design and install custom solar energy systems for homes, businesses and more. We also provide electrical service upgrades, backup energy systems and EV chargers.

Job Description:

· Installation of residential and commercial photovoltaic solar systems

· Installation of backup energy systems, such as generators and batteries

· Ensure job site safety at all times

· Supervise/mentor apprentice electricians

· Ensure our customers receive an excellent customer experience

· Communicate with the operations team on scheduling and system design

· Other relevant tasks as needed

Qualifications:

· Basic understanding of photovoltaic solar equipment

· Understanding of the NEC code requirements

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer skills

· Licensed Minnesota journeyman electrician

· Understanding of electrical wire and conduit sizing·

· Experience working in the construction industry

· Ability to read and understand blueprints

· Excellent customer service skills

· Valid Minnesota driver’s license with clean driving record

· Must pass a criminal background check and drug test

· Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work with tools and work on rooftops

Preferred but not required skills & experience:

· NABCEP certification

· OSHA-30 safety certification

· Previous experience on larger scale solar projects

· Familiar with PV analyzing equipment

· Equipment operating

· Installation of 3-phase equipment

· Identify and mitigate safety hazards on the jobsite

Compensation:

· This position is full-time

· Hourly rate dependent on experience ($40-$60 per hour)

· 40-hour work week, plus possible overtime

· Health care reimbursement plan

· 40 hours after 30 days

· 80 hours in second and third year

· 120 hours after third year

· All federal observed holidays off

· Professional development allotment of $400 per year

· Equipment allotment of $200 per year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
