Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Solar Site Manager to join our team in Texas. The Solar Site Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operational performance of a solar energy site. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in solar energy, excellent management skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Operations: Oversee daily operations of the solar site to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians and support staff. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and longevity of solar panels and associated equipment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational data to track performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize energy production.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and audits.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance and repair work.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage site budgets. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety or performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on site performance, maintenance activities, and financial metrics to senior management.
  • Community Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for local community stakeholders. Address concerns and promote positive community relations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar energy operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar panel operation and maintenance.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management and performance monitoring software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
