This is a 100% travel opportunity, offers per diem while working on our project sites. Site states include but are not limited to: North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and South Carolina.
Job Description:
The Commissioning Specialist provides support to the Commissioning Superintendent to manage the project commissioning activities. This position can serve as a lead role for the respective commissioning discipline, responsible for project commissioning practices and project schedule compliance.

Job Details
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in electrical engineering or related field of study and 4 years of work-related experience OR a combination of education and directly related experience equal to 8 years if non-degreed.
- 5 years of commissioning experience in utility scale solar projects.
- Clear understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices and procedures.
- Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off shift hours and weekends.
- NABCEP Certification or equivalent education.
- OSHA 30 or 100.
- Advanced Racking and Tracker commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, manufacturer training and/or certification.
- Advanced Inverter commissioning, operation, communications, troubleshooting, manufacturer training and/or certification.
- Advanced DAS systems, communication systems, operations, programming, manufacturer training and/or certification.
- Good knowledge of MV Transformers and other Renewable Energy Balance of System (BOS)Advanced Construction, structural, electrical single-line and three-line drawings markups and red-lines, RFIs.
- Good knowledge of Utility and Interconnection (Substation and POI) Equipment.
- Electrical License and/or Equivalent education.
- Current and valid driver’s license required.
Nice to Haves:
- Transmission scale solar experience preferred.
- Experience working with solar tracker systems.
- High Voltage Certification.
- Low Voltage Certification.
- Subcontractor and vendor management.
- NABCEP PV Associate Certification.
- NFPA 70e.
- OSHA 30.
