Our Client specializing in developing Community and Commercial scale Solar projects. The company offers turnkey services including design & engineering, installation, maintenance, and financing. They serve the entire state of New Jersey and New York and have recently expanded into 4 other states

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a VP of Business Development. They will be responsible for overseeing project development from origination to project closeout, providing technical expertise, and managing project budgets and schedules. The VP will work a flexible role needing to be in the office twice a month.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Solar PV systems and other renewable energy technologies
  • Experience managing end-to-end project development in C&I and Community Solar.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in Origination. (e.g negotiating PPA’s)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project development, design, and/or construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Experience with low-income housing and government incentive programs is preferred
