Position Summary

This role works closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to ensure that the strategic vision and goals set by both the local Company and founding Company management (Head Office) are successfully implemented and achieved across the various segments of the commercial organization. This role assists the CCO in reviewing market opportunities, potential growth vectors and ensuring that the commercial organization is up to date on critical trends that will impact the companys business prospects.

This position will also support all activities that will allow the management to successfully identify business needs, develop tactical action plans, measure, and track results in line with the corporate strategy. On occasion, will be assigned to support and/or run special projects, performance management and other strategic related projects that are aligned with agenda of top management.

This position will also work with the commercial team to help design and create presentations for the Commercial organization turning complex and technical information into simple, effective presentations (interactive, charts, graphs, timelines, storytelling, diagrams, dashboards, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Create market intel reports by gathering data and conducting research through internal and external sources.
  • Interpret complex maritime or logistics or transportation or supply chain related concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand mediums for senior management to utilize.
  • Coordinate with functional stakeholders to create presentation material on demand for the top management as per requested. Work closely with management to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Create visually compelling PowerPoint slides and Excel charts based on data provided from a variety of sources. (internal / external data, websites, press releases, etc.)
  • Coordinate with international and local contacts to ensure that presentations and reports meet company requirements and standards.
  • Help to design and maintain supporting material for the commercial organization. Work closely with local and HO Commercial Marketing teams to ensure corporate standards are followed.
  • Conducts market reviews / studies to identify business trends and opportunities that could be of benefit to the organization.
  • Prepares and distributes reports related to strategic functions and project activities.
  • Recommend areas of business for the organization to be involved in via use of statistical, economics and visual data.
  • Identify trends in both existing and new business segments creating opportunities and minimizing risk
  • Create and update key performance reports related to commercial performance to assist with decision making
  • Maintain the Commercial Share Point website with the most up to date reports and information, uploading material to online libraries and keeping it organized
  • This role is dynamic and will have other projects and miscellaneous duties periodically assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years industry experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • ExcDemonstrated passion for Customer Experience acting as an advocate for customers.
  • Aptitude for building relationships across functional areas
  • Demonstrate the ability to present proactive resolutions and maintain high performance results
  • Must be capable of working autonomously and within a team environment
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis researcheptional presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously and meet deadlines.
