Job Description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Solar Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new revenue and profits for CertainTeeds solar business by attracting new solar installers, contractors, architects, developers and builders, and working with existing CertainTeed Solar customers to promote and support CT Solar solutions.

Geographical responsibility includes NC, SC, TN, GA, FL, AL, MS, AR, OK, LA and TX


WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?


SALES:
Responsible for sales of CertainTeeds solar products by working closely with CertainTeeds contractors, distributors, architects and builders to promote solar products

CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Provide on-site training and support to CertainTeed customers as needed (sales, training, site analysis and installation questions on CertainTeed solar systems)

CRM: Maintain and track sales pipeline and activities using CRM

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Manage, develop, lead & coach direct report(s) to meet business objectives and personal growth. This role will be responsible for work allocation, recruitment, career planning, coaching and development, training, retention and performance improvement of the region sales team. This role will prepare and manage annual department objectives and goals.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND R&D SUPPORT: Provide customer feedback and support to R&D and product development teams to ensure customer requirements and needs are incorporated in future product development efforts.


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience in the required field
  • 5+ years solar sales industry-related experience required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
  • Organization and ability to keep a wide variety of work well documented
  • Must be efficient and capable of multitasking.
  • Communication and presentation skills are imperative. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to think out of the box to enhance the customer experience and anticipate how to delight customers enabling customer loyalty and success
  • Strong understanding of solar systems and components, and practical knowledge in design, installation and trouble shooting
  • Experience with CRM and solar design/proposal Software (Salesforce.com experience is a Plus)
  • Familiarity with solar codes and regulations preferred
  • NABCEP PV Associate certification preferred
  • Valid US Drivers License required
