Position Overview
The Category Manager role is responsible for researching and developing category and shopper insights to deliver a competitive advantage to BBB Industries and our customers across all product categories. As part of this role, this individual will lead customer line reviews and collaborate with category leadership, product management, cataloguing, marketing, and customer teams to develop strategies that drive growth for BBB Industries and our customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate & reliable market insights to BBB Industries leadership and customers.
- Drive growth KPIs for related categories, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop, write, test, and optimize product propositions and marketing concepts to enhance category performance.
- Develop and implement long-term strategies for product categories to maximize sales and profitability
- Identify new approaches for growing the business, driving initiatives to increase category awareness, and creating processes to better manage the performance of the category over the long term.
- Utilize data analysis tools to interpret market data and generate insights for strategic decision-making.
- Lead customer line review efforts across all categories Analysis and presentation
- Evaluate customer feedback and implement changes to enhance the overall customer experience and drive customer loyalty?.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in category management or related industry experience.
- 2 years experience in the Automotive Aftermarket industry.
- Must have familiarity with Automotive and Aftermarket industry sources and partners.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret data and forecast trends.
- Knowledge of market research companies and solution providers in the Automotive Aftermarket space.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Access)/Skilled in Oracle BI tools and solutions.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for product categories, including pricing, promotion, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
- Minimal travel stateside travel required (2 trips per quarter).
