Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Finance and Strategy Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and cleantech industry experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Building and analyzing financial models
• Developing and delivering pitch decks and strategies
• Coordinating with external experts on financing, product development, marketing, operations, or policy
• Managing projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring client satisfaction
• Collaborating closely with company principals on project origination and client relationship management.

This is a remote or hybrid position. Periodic meetings with our principals will be desired, primarily in NYC or Albany, NY. Availability to work in the Albany NY or nearby area is preferred but not required. Note that tight deadlines may be required when you are assigned to a project, but there may be some time between assignments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in the clean/climate tech industry or with innovative early-stage companies
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Proven experience in business financing and financial modeling, preferably with project or asset-driven financing
• Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and MS PowerPoint
• Excellent command of business English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and client management skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with various clean/climate technologies (solar, wind, energy efficiency, decarbonization)
• Familiarity with Air Table

Compensation & Support:

• Base Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience
• Revenue share opportunities for new business development
• Reimbursement for additional travel expenses related to assigned projects
• Note: Candidates must provide their own phone and laptop and cover transportation costs within the Albany or NYC area.
