Job Description

Engineering Administrative Assistant

AvCarb Material Solutions located in Lowell, MA develops and manufactures engineered carbon-based products such as advanced gas diffusion layers (GDLs), molded graphite laminates, woven carbon fabrics and carbon felts used in critical electrochemical, friction, and thermal applications. We are a growing company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a mission in decarbonization technologies.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Validate, publish, and maintain all controlled documentation that supports product development and engineering activities, including route sheets and material specifications.
  • Draft and execute engineering change requests, engineering orders, and laboratory work requests.
  • Work closely with the engineering and sales teams to inventory and track product development and marketing samples.
  • Assist in creating and editing written work instructions for new and existing characterization methods.
  • Maintain and organize technical data collected by the team and assist in preparation of data tables and charts for technical data sheets.

Job Related Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the engineering teams to keep records up to date.
  • Prepare and edit existing and novel documentation.
  • Categorize, inventory, and label developmental material samples provided by the engineering team.
  • Coordinate and track shipments of product samples including follow-up with customers and external vendors.
  • Communicate priorities and schedules to functional teams (engineering, sales, shipping, etc.).

Qualifications Desired

Bachelors degree in related field plus a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience, preferred, or an equivalent combination of related work experience and education. Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word required. Ability to manage competing demands, strong organization skills, and attention to detail is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,905.16 – $51,670.73 per year
