As a SCADA Analyst at EQT, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our SCADA systems, contributing to our overall success. This includes providing ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, user management, and new application development. The role focuses on the Cygnet and Autosol applications and corresponding interfaces, offering a chance to work with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing/modifying displays for new facilities and/or sites. This includes all device/point/polling configuration, mapping (links, data files, navigation, communication), display creation, and data validation. Include more complex control faceplates and mode control. This task requires a significant level of data mining, coordination, and communication between numerous groups.
  • Updating and maintaining polling engines and SCADA screens to support daily operations. This includes modifications for all types of changes including but not limited to: display changes; database configuration changes; RTU changes; Meter changes; communication changes; set point changes. Responsible for managing all tickets associated with such changes.
  • Providing problem-solving support to field personnel and other internal groups relative to RTUPLC register mapping and communications and subsequent data flow to corresponding systems, including interpreting application-level packet data. This includes 24/7 support for gas control.
  • Works with Gas Control to ensure all displays/communications/alarms are in compliance with internal SOP’s supporting CRM and PHMSA regulations.
  • Identifying, analyzing and implementing process improvement opportunities. Developing and implementing new applications to maximize the utilization and potential of the SCADA systems. This may include screen design, new control capabilities, writing back information to a RTUPLC, etc.
  • Performs system audits such as critical points, MAOPs, SOP compliance, license count, capacity.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one (1) years of experience in electronic measurement and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems or related experience
  • Background in natural gas distribution, transmission and production applications such as gas measurement, forecasting and compressor control
  • Experience with SQL, Visual Basic, and C# preferred
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Organizational/Time Management skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of SCADA systems, RTUs and communications methods as defined in experience section below.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data acquisition process from RTUs and PLCs. Familiarity with application level protocols as defined in the experience section below.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (Access, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and object-oriented programming. Ability to create custom queries and access data from varied systems.

Remote work is approved for this role, excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York, unless willing to relocate.
