This position is for the Power/Energy division.
We are looking for Lead Electrical Engineer
As part of our highly motivated and international project team, you would work on Power Generation, HVDC transmission, HV Substation, and FACTS projects, helping us to take big steps together towards decarbonization and stability of the high-voltage grid. Working with various clients, such as developers or transmission system operators, in different countries, you can expand your expertise and intercultural skills and make an important contribution to the energy transition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for executing electrical engineering in our projects – securing the fulfillment of customer contracts and related specifications.
- Leading the electrical execution team in close cooperation and communication with the project engineering manager and general project management as well as with other relevant stakeholders (e.g., your line manager)
- Managing and monitoring our internal and external suppliers including handling the electrical, I&C, and related layout interfaces
- Project reporting regarding engineering progress, technical clarifications, and engineering risks or opportunities
- Implementation, steering, and control of the electrical design process with a focus on related concepts, technical specification preparation, and BoQs
- Identification and proactive management of risks, opportunities, and claims
- Monitoring of on-time delivery of all deliverables, quality, and electrical engineering hour consumption and ensuring our EHS standards are met.
- Supporting the construction site during installation and commissioning to solve upcoming problems
- Supporting to identification and minimizing non-conformance costs (NCCs)
Requirements
- Masters or bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related fields
- 8+ years Experience in managing the electrical engineering of large HVDC or Substation projects
- Strong Technical knowledge in Electrical Power Systems, Motor Control Centers, MV and LV Switchgear, Transformers, Converters, Rectifiers Single Line Three Line Diagrams, etc
- Experience in project management and/or managing intercultural teams.
- Advanced experience in execution of solution projects (proposal and execution phase)
- Knowledge regarding HVDC transmission is an advantage.
- Licensed Professional Engineers in one or more States of the USA are an advantage.
- Advanced English language skills and Spanish language skills are an advantage.
- Advanced experience in intercultural collaboration and cooperation with international clients, consortium partners, and suppliers
- Proactive communication and good coordination skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $48.00 – $50.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
