Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Assemblers (Manufacturing) for a large, well-known client in The Colony, TX As an Assembler (Manufacturing), you will be an essential part of our clients core operations, ensuring that quality product is produced, assembled, packaged, and ready for delivery to the end customer.

Assemblers will perform assembly, quality assurance, and factory testing of their battery energy storage systems. This applicant would be responsible for mechanical assembly of enclosures, electrical wiring of the system, factory testing, and maintaining good documentation for quality assurance. The electrical wiring will include both AC and DC wiring with wire sizes ranging from 22 awg to 500 MCM. Enclosures can range from 16 x 16 wall mount enclosures to free standing 15 x 6 x 9. This position may use a computer and Microsoft office products for developing and reading assembly instructions. A range of applicants will be considered for this position with starting pay rate based on level of previous experience with fork truck operation, general electrical wiring practices, previous production, or technician experience.

Responsibilities of the Assembler (Manufacturing):
  • Perform basic assembling, machine operating, material handling and inspecting functions for battery energy storage.
  • Perform pre-assembly set-up and functions as required.
  • Maintain work area and equipment by proper cleaning and organizing.
  • Ensure product and process quality through appropriate inspection and packing process.
  • Maintain efficiency and follow safety protocols at all times.
  • Stack, pack, count, and label completed parts that are ready for distribution.

Required Qualifications of the Assembler (Manufacturing):

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1-2 years minimum of relevant experience
  • Experience cutting and terminating large conductors
  • Fork Truck Operation
  • OSHA safety experience a plus
  • ISO or other quality program experience a plus
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills and work well with people
  • Must be a self-motivator to create and coordinate their own tasks and goals.
