Job Overview

NET Power is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems and Product Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in organizing interface control documents and managing supplier information, ensuring seamless integration of components within our advanced power generation systems to track and drive the overall NET Power standard product development process.

This position will be based in our Houston, Texas office (in the Energy Corridor at 11720 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079). NET Power offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Interface Control Document Management:

  • Organize and maintain interface control documents (ICDs) to accurately reflect system specifications and requirements.
  • Track changes to ICDs and ensure alignment with project milestones and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any discrepancies or conflicts in ICDs.
  • Collect, validate, and manage system and product requirements

Supplier Information Management:

  • Manage supplier information and documentation related to system components.
  • Ensure timely receipt and accuracy of supplier data, including specifications, performance data, and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to address any supplier-related issues or concerns.

Model Calibration and Integration:

  • Calibrate system models against supplier information to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide input models to integrate with the overall process engineering team for system optimization and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with simulation engineers to validate models against real-world data and performance metrics.
  • Identify risk areas or areas requiring additional development and innovation to improve the overall NET Power product.

Management of Change Process:

  • Drive the management of change (MOC) process within NET Power to facilitate efficient modifications to system specifications and configurations.
  • Working with engineering, project, and product management teams, assess the impact of proposed changes on project timelines, budgets, and performance objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement approved changes while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent education and experience
  • 10+ years equivalent experience in systems engineering for project execution
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, product engineering, R&D, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with interface control documents, supplier management, requirements management, and change management processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in system modeling and simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling / BIM for digital thread / digital twin
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across globally dispersed, diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with one or more Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools .
