POSITION SUMMARY

The Solar Site Auditor is responsible for conducting thorough site assessments for potential solar installations. This role involves evaluating the feasibility of solar projects, gathering site-specific data, and providing accurate information to support the design and installation teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct on-site evaluations of residential and commercial properties to determine suitability for solar energy systems.
  • Gather and document detailed site information including roof measurements, shading analysis, structural assessments, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Utilize specialized tools and software to complete an audit and solar potential assessments.
  • Create detailed site audit reports, including photographs, diagrams, and notes, to support the solar design and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with sales, design, and installation teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive site information is communicated.
  • Identify potential challenges or obstacles to installation and propose viable solutions.
  • Ensure all site assessments comply with company standards and local regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solar technology, industry trends, and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in solar site assessment, solar installation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with site assessment tools and software such as Solmetric SunEye, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to climb roofs, ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to climb roofs and ladders.
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina for conducting site visits and assessments.
  • Safely carry loads up to 50 lbs.
