JOB SUMMARY (BASIC FUNCTIONS): LG Chem Advance Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is actively searching for an HR Technical Trainer to join our team in Clarksville, TN. The HR Technical Trainer will be an individual contributor reporting to the HR Manager and work alongside our HR team. The HR Technical Trainer will be an influential leader and technical resource to develop and optimize the plant operations training needs.

This position is based full time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.

What Youll Be Doing

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

Training:

  • Support Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety and HR departments with designing training plans, organization, facilitation, and delivery of Supervisor, Team Leader, Technician and Operator training programs.
  • Conduct training across all shifts as needed.
  • Review and test new employees skills sets, providing feedback and plans for improvement.
  • Partner with local industry partners to develop apprenticeship or course specific training programs for technicians.

Training Delivery:

  • Engage participants through interactive methods and encourage participation and discussions.
  • Schedule training sessions ensuring minimal disruption to regular business operations.
  • Prepare training materials, equipment, and facilities prior to each session.
  • Facilitate training through hands-on training classes, virtual sessions, and/or workshops.

HR Functions:

  • Participate in employee hiring process assesses candidates skills (general and/ or machine, involved in interview process to assess industrial experience, and provide perspective on hiring decisions).
  • Supports HR specific technical learning solution creation (SOPs, Process Workflows, Technical Learning Aids).
  • Support New Hire Orientation/ On Boarding, as needed.
  • Provides tours for new employees, identifying area assignments and job responsibilities

Data Analysis:

  • Assist with tracking, evaluating, and measuring employee training using the companys Training Standards & Learning Management System (SuccessFactors).
  • Evaluates and confirms learning objectives through ongoing assessments and acts upon data accordingly, in alignment with company standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and report findings to the HR Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What Were Looking For

  • Instructional Training Skills: Knowledge on how to train and deliver employee training programs including training on technical processes and/or new equipment procedures that may be necessary.
  • Document Control: Maintain a systematic approach for managing documents, keep up with industry standards and practices, as well as any new regulations or guidelines that could affect our product.
  • Analytical skills: Evaluate training programs, methods, and materials and choose those that best fit for each situation.
  • Collaboration skills. Strong interpersonal skills to deliver training programs and coordinatition with instructors, subject-matter experts, and trainees.
  • Communication skills: Ability to convey information clearly and facilitate learning to diverse audiences.
  • Creativity: Utilize a resourceful approach when developing training materials. May need to think of and implement new approaches when considering training methods.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Organizational Development or equivalent education and experience.

Requirements:

  • 5+yrs Technical training experience (manufacturing preferred).
  • Familiarity with virtual training platforms and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training software.
  • Able to Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours.
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods while training.
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 40 lbs.;
  • Exposure to heat, noise, outdoors, vibration, confining work space, chemicals, explosive materials, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards;
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other garments as needed. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, Masks, full body gowns, hair nets, gloves and hearing protection.

Preferred Qualification/What Wed Like to See:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and IATF16949 industry standards.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
  • Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze production data.
