Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for promoting Tate Metalworks to customers in the Southeast territory, focusing on the Gulf rim of the United States, or wherever our clients may take us. The RSM develops business plans to set and achieve sales targets for current and prospective customers. The RSM utilizes market and industry knowledge to identify new prospects (both specific customers and industries) and develop sales strategies to grow Tate Metalworks customer base aligned with organizational goals. The RSM analyzes sales reports to monitor progress and ensure strategies achieve results. The RSM partners across the Tate engineering team, which is highly collaborative and supportive aligned in our collective purpose and focused on results and growth for the company and for each other. The RSM may work remotely and will best be located in the geographic region of focus; the Gulf Coast Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continual face to face meetings and interactions with customers to build relationships.
  • Establish sales targets for the territory in partnership with the President of Tate Metalworks.
  • Develop sales strategies to strengthen sales with existing customers. Close sales to achieve or exceed sales targets. Assess progress with the Company President and establish strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively connect with customers to ensure needs are met and open issues or questions are resolved. Build relationships with customers and establish high levels of customer service.
  • Acquire new business leads through networking, referrals, memberships, trade shows, media, web sites, and other sources. Develop and maintain a list of prospective customers.
  • Design and implement strategic business plans that expand Tates customer base in the Southeast region. Build relationships and work with the inside sales team to develop sales proposals for prospective customers tied to their needs; follow-up to close sales.
  • Continually develop skills that support sales including presentation skills, PowerPoint creation, public speaking at seminars and trade shows, video creation and other methods of presenting to current and potential customers.
  • Ensure knowledge of current and upcoming industries and trends.
  • Report on sales, closings, and maintain an accurate forecast each month.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the business climate, trends and competition in the market.
  • Attend events representing Tate Metalworks including trade shows and marketing events.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure teamwork to achieve goals and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Travel

  • Overnight and seasonal travel into the territory to visit accounts, distributors, and represent Tate at trade shows. Key accounts visits typically seen in person every 90 days, along with post-bid negotiation contract meetings.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with proven track record in sales in industrial manufacturing or heavy construction industries required; heavy industrial manufacturing sales experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and has successful prior experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
