Position Summary
The Director of Basketball Operations assists in all aspects of developing and advancing a competitive womens basketball program in the Big Sky Conference. This includes, but is not limited to: budget management, travel planning, on campus recruiting, event and activity planning, scheduling facility and practice times, assist marketing staff, equipment and counseling student-athletes; managing daily administrative duties of the program; adhering to all rules and regulations of the university, NCAA, and Big Sky; other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Demonstrated excellence in professional/interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the total welfare of student-athletes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing a successful womens basketball program both academically and athletically.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $39,384 $41,064, but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.

An excellent benefits package includes 95% employer-paid health insurance premiums (employees and eligible dependents) and significantly reduced tuition rates for employees and eligible dependents at any of the Oregon Public Universities. After completing six full months employees are eligible to choose between our two employer-paid pension programs in addition to two voluntary retirement programs.
