Your mission, roles and responsibilities

he main missions of the role are:

  • Represent quality manager within assigned area.
  • Align and follow priorities based on his/her manager.
  • Represent customers internally and represent FORVIA for customers.
  • Lead quality action plan, improvements, and results in the assigned production areas.
  • Implement quality controls to assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Own, deploy and confirm compliance with validated control plans, monitor through periodic audits. Make updates aligned with QM and customer engineers.
  • Track and support TCS activities as well as quality campaigns as per need.
  • Lead 8 Quality Basics implementation and sustainability through audits and action plan tracking with multi-functional team.
  • React and trigger containment using quality alerts when problems to meet specifications are found to protect plant and customers
  • Lead / conduct investigations using proper tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5Whys, Kata QRCI, etc) to determine causes of defects, make recommendations for corrective actions. Determine which products can be reworked or scrapped. Monitor and lead efforts in the timely disposition of nonconforming product.
  • Be responsible for the successful implementation of engineering changes / programs from quality perspective and represent quality on ECC meetings as well as deploying related actions. Be responsible to PPAP to customer.
  • Be the leader for Quality chapters of FES Deployment Plan in his / her perimeter
  • Monitor and work with multi-functional team on actions related to scrap
  • Monitor and work with multi-functional team on actions related to defects found by production
  • Daily walk production lines of his / her responsibility floor to review problems, define actions and validate solutions
  • Work closely to SQA engineer to diagnose supplier quality issues and communicate / provide data to SQA when they happen.
  • Perform and propose audits as per need (process, products, special) and support action plan for improvements needed
  • Validate final inspectors through FORVIA methodology and confirm frequently only validated people operate in production line. Work with Production Supervisor to
  • Use the Advanced Product Quality Planning process to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Facilitate training of all personnel on 8QB, inspection methods, procedures, and company policies.
  • Lead response to customer complaints, facilitating 8D and managing corrective actions related to determine quality activities required.
  • Validate Service shipments according to standards and requirements.
  • Conduct multiple projects simultaneously and continuous improvement actions
  • Join Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) reviews with Engineering in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities and monitor the status throughout production life.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control techniques.
  • Participate in the establishment and implementation of quality specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials/process goods/finished goods.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate operation of inspection systems and sampling techniques.
  • Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques and quality control plans.
  • Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards.
  • Assure compliance of the documented quality system (IATF 16949) and promote consistency throughout the organization
  • Assure compliance to customer specific requirements.
  • Run and maintain evidence of Gage R&Rs. Administrate Capability analysis.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be: excellent verbal and written communication skills, be willing to learn and disseminate company policies and procedures, and able to work on multiple high priority projects.

Minimum education level: Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry

Skills and competencies:

  • Firm grasp of basic economic skills, including cost tracking
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and safety and environment practices
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Fluent English language knowledge written and spoken
